Facilitated bowel cleansing performed by yogis. Sahaja Basti Kriya

Features of Basti Kriya
The human body becomes defenseless against ailments and begins to hurt due to the fact that toxins accumulate in it, resulting from the digestion of food in the intestine. They cannot be removed in a timely manner, which is why self-poisoning occurs. As a result: illness, rapid aging, loss of activity and well-being.

Even if regular bowel movements occur naturally, this does not mean that all poisons come naturally. Remaining on the walls, they continue to poison the body. In the case of even rare constipation, a person may have serious problems with well-being and health: bad breath, loss of general tone, lowering of the stomach, peptic ulcer, cancer, formation of kidney stones, liver disease. "Contamination" of the intestine also affects the emotional and psychological state, causing irritability, insomnia, and depression.

In the Shatkarm system, there is a technique designed to clean the rectum - the basti. In combination with other practices, it allows you to get rid of toxins.

Beginner yogis will especially appreciate the fact that mastering the technique is quite simple. However, in order to prepare for it properly and to take full advantage of it, it is better to first understand Uddiyana Bandha and, if possible, Madhyama Nauli (the “central tourniquet”). Possessing these practices, there will be no problems with the implementation of the basti.

There are two types of basti kriya: sukshma basti - dry (air) enema, jala basti - water enema.
Basti kriya is also called a “yoga enema”, but, in its effect, it significantly exceeds the medical enema familiar to everyone. Firstly, the intestines are absolutely not accustomed to basti. Secondly, when performed, excessive pressure is not created, which is why the rectum does not stretch. Due to the effect of nauli or uddiyana bandha, the water itself is drawn in and gently cleanses the walls.

Whereas previously mainly bamboo tubes were used (for those who have not yet mastered the nauli or uddiyana bandha techniques properly), today the vast majority use special rubber catheters or enema tips, the diameter of which should be such that the retraction of water is facilitated.

How often do you need to perform basti? If a person is characterized by the problem of constipation, then it is recommended to practice twice a month. If everything is in order, once every two months is enough. Experienced yogis perform cleansing of the lower intestines when they feel the need to pacify excessive internal heat.

The effect of performing basti kriya
Basti Kriya helps to naturally remove food debris, poisons and toxins from the intestinal mucous membranes.

The practice of Basti Kriya is indicated for implementation in such cases:

hemorrhoids (not exacerbated);
the presence of too hard feces in the rectum, slagging;
inflammation of the appendages;
prostatitis;
increased gas formation;
anxiety, stress;
insomnia.
Basti has an amazing effect:

stimulation of the normal functioning of the pancreas and liver;
elimination of unpleasant body odors;
elimination of rash and other skin defects;
sleep improvement;
relieving anxiety and stress.
The joint implementation of the basti with other cleaning techniques can achieve even greater effect and even cure some diseases.

Execution order
Sahaja Basti Kriya is recommended for those who cannot, according to certain indications, perform the main Basti technique, which involves drawing water into the rectum for subsequent cleansing of its walls. Despite the fact that this is a “simplified cleaning”, it can also be used to effectively treat and prevent various diseases.
Now consider the technique for performing sahaja-basti kriya:

It is necessary to prepare a solution that will be used for oral administration. To do this, mix 1 tsp. unrefined sea salt without flavorings and additives, ½ cup freshly squeezed seedless lemon juice and 1.5 liters of pure water at a temperature comfortable for the body. Drink the resulting mixture.
Lie on your back and perform Viparita-karani asana - “candle pose” or “inverted pose”. It will allow you to get a more effective result of cleaning not only the stomach, but also the entire intestine. The liquid that was drunk earlier will relieve the internal walls of the gastrointestinal tract from mucus, remove decayed bile from the stomach into the small intestine, and cleanse the large intestine. In Viparita-karani, you need to stay 4-5 minutes. If you keep your legs upright heavily, you can throw them further behind your head, which will also help relieve the strain on your hands.
Perform 3-4 times Mayurasan - "peacock pose". If this does not work out or it is impossible, then you can do Shalabhasanu ("locust pose") 5-6 times and Padahastasanu 4-5 times, which is the tilt of the head to the feet. You can add other asanas: Ardha-chakrasana, reminiscent of the usual "bridge"; Bhujangasanu (“cobra pose”) and Dhanurasanu (“bow pose”).
Literally five minutes after the asanas, a feeling should appear about the desire to empty the intestines. In this case, you should not tolerate, but you need to fulfill the body's requirement as soon as possible. If the urge to defecate did not occur, this indicates a strong slagging of the body. In this case, one-two-day fasting with the use of exclusively water is indicated, after which it is necessary to go through all the stages of sahaj-basti kriya again.
It is believed that even if you do not perform asanas, the liquid will come out on its own naturally in a few hours.

According to slightly different opinions, after bowel movement, you need to drink 1-1.5 water and repeat the cycle again. If something does not work out, Sahaja Basti Kriya should be repeated after about a week.

Contraindications
There are still some contraindications for performing the bastion of kriya. It is not worth practicing rectal cleansing if hemorrhoids become aggravated, inflammatory processes in the abdominal cavity occur, a woman has menstrual bleeding or pregnancy.

Also, if a person suffers from gastric ulcer, tuberculosis, acute appendicitis, acute colitis, diarrhea, dysentery or cancer, bastia kriya is contraindicated.

If there is any doubt as to whether it is possible to perform this technique, then it is best to consult a specialist about this. Sometimes there are individual indicators of the body that should be considered.
